Alibaba’s notice on that page says its Shopify app went offline on 19 August 2024 and advises having backup suppliers, so check the site for the current ways to connect your store before you rely on it.

A simple path from testing to scaling
- 1. Test products with single orders (AliExpress, or a platform with local stock).
- 2. Validate: keep only products that are profitable after ad costs (use the profit calculator).
- 3. Source in bulk: ask several Alibaba.com suppliers for quotes, samples and custom packaging, and pay through the platform.
- 4. Store locally with a fulfilment service or a platform such as CJdropshipping for faster delivery.
